I was kind of a target in school. Six ft. tall and thin. I think I kind of blew it. I should have fought some of the guys that messed with me. I probably would have done better than I thought I could. I actually did box a little as a sixth grader. School is always rough. It's a bunch of young colts bouncing around. It never entered my mind to shoot a bunch of people. But then I wasn't a freak.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Bigger families back then when I grew up. I had two older siblings and one younger. We didn't hang out together to much but everybody knew who could be bullied and who had a posse of older "friends" if things got too ugly. Personal beefs got sorted out without much interference but if there was group bullying going on, maybe the family would hear about it? It didn't work perfectly but it had an influence.
Maybe that doesn't happen as much anymore?

IHMO that individual went out of "its" way to taunt and provoke and aggravate people. I graduated high school in 1967, in an Ivy League university town, back then even liberals were fairly conservative when it came to standards of decorum and acceptable behavior. As Daniel Patrick Moynihan put it, for decades we've been
        "defining deviancy down".

My brother was the largest person in junior high school. He was 6'7" and over 200lbs at age 15. I was always quite a bit smaller.
