    More crazies blowing themselves up

What makes a person blow themselves up to kill others. I wonder if they don't just recruit some of these bombers from mental facilities and program them .. I have a hard time believing that a sane person would do it. What normal person would believe the seven virgin belief? Just wondering. Any one doing it is not normal in a mental sense , Ray

The Japanese used Kamikaze planes and Banzai attacks extensively in WWII. Seems like it was ingrained into their military code along with their attitude toward prisoners of war, civilian non-combatants, etc. Belief can play a role. Just as likely extreme commitment to military/revolutionary cause can prove sufficient motivation. Not logical to count all who do such things as mentally unstable. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Undoubtedly this is the easiest way to sneak a bomb into a crowd of people w/o being detected. They are already crazy or brainwashed so killing them self is no big issue plus there is no pain. It's a miracle this doesn't happen more often and happen here especially after 8 years of a muslim president in our WH sending money out left and right to muslim countries that hate America.

Another thought on this: How many terminally ill people would do this for money? They are going to die shortly any way and probably experience a painful death at that. By being paid off they could leave money for their family and die a painless death. Some might even enjoy making a last political (or otherwise) stand.

I often think about Jack Ruby (who was terminally ill) shooting Oswald who was already apprehended by the police and defenseless. Some one sure felt it was important for Oswald to not speak.

They are not insane -- and it is a mistake to think they are. They are coldly murderous, and in full control of their faculties -- and those who defend against these heinous attacks must understand that.

I think you are a bit too eager to blame religion. It could also be political fervor run amok.

              Sometimes the two are intermingled.

Indeed they are -- for most of the world's history, politics and religion have been intertwined. Many religious movements have political origins.
