    Another ten million oompa loompas

It embarrassing that the U.S. is probably the "fattest" country on Earth. With Mexico second.

Chile is way down on the list and the Argentinian woman I see on Utube are tall and good looking. But we don't get them. We always get the short ones.

Embarrassing? Why? In countries where food is not expensive, where people have money, they buy food and they eat it. In countries where that is not the case, they do not. As to whether or not men or women are tall, short, thin, fat, tan, fit, lean, etc., anecdotal observations are of no consequence. When a population is well fed, the children tend to be taller than those born in populations where nutrition is not good. Note N. Korea compared to S. Korea. Sincerely. bruce.

There was a story -- I read this in a magazine, and don't personally vouch for it -- of a teacher, teaching immigrants English. She took them to fast food restaurants, hot dog stands and so on, and had each of them write an essay about the trip.

She expected a lot of essays on the theme, "Americans have bad eating habits." What she got were essays on the theme, "In America, there is food for everyone."

Great to be in a country where you can eat til you puke. Heart disease is a big number in this country. It's smart to eat and burn it off. Not just eat, and eat and eat. We don't work hard but the smart people who don't work hard also don't binge eat. In the lessor countries they are still fat because they don't have the information that tells them to eat right. OK, this could go on, but the point is, Hispanics might get taller in a couple of thousand years, but in the mean time, they stay short and get fat. Some of it's genetic. Well a lot of it's genetic but I don't care for short fat people and we are getting a lot of them. End of story.

"The Plant Paradox" Stephen Gundry. Gundry was a dept. head at Loma Linda and left to set up a string of wellness clinics. He points out the French do not eat corn in any form and they tend to be slender. Also frozen vegetables are picked ripe, whereas 'fresh' vegetables are picked before they are ripe and he explains why this is important. Also 'Grain Brain' by David Perlmutter. Nutrition is more than just calories and vitamins.
