    Holier-that-thou, part 2

These people attacking a couple for kissing over the carcass of a lion they just killed remind me of earlier "protestors." This happened to my wife, Jane, who was an Army Nurse at the time.

    Find a Soldier’s Pregnant Wife

    Find a soldier’s pregnant wife
And you can have some fun
Tell her her husband was just killed
And laugh about what you’ve done

    Listen to her crying
    Smile your self-righteous smile
    Feel smug about yourself
    You made a woman cry

    Her husband is far away
And she must live with fear
    She is all alone
With no one to comfort her

    You have inflicted misery
Almost more than she can bear
    If her husband was here
    You know you wouldn’t dare

And when he comes home wounded
    You can have more fun
    When his wife tells him
    About what you’ve done

    You call yourself a protester
    And rationalize your act
You have shown yourself a coward
And that is just a fact

You bleat, “Maybe I saved your life.”
So this is what I’ll do
I’ll live to piss on your grave
And I’ll have my fun, too

So, it wasn't about the lion all along?

Are you complaining? Seems like it.

I want to edit my post....after rereading it, it could be construed that I support the unspeakable perps described on the poem. I DON'T...and I wish there was a terrible reckonng for them.

Who told your pregnant wife you had been killed? That's pretty mean. Had to be someone in uniform, right? Your wife wouldn't believe it coming from just anyone.
