Well CH, if there wasn't a general bias against blacks, then sweeping statements about them would break about 50-50 positive to negative. But somehow they never do, right? Nothing stopping you from proving that I got it all wrong by rattling of a few positive things about blacks in general.

But the reason was, THEY didn't want to invade the South, & kill Southerners, because a small minority of them owned slaves! Only Dems living in the NORTH, of which there were a considerable number, were ever called Copperheads, & only by Northerners! Because they were persecuted relentlessly by Lincoln's gov't, thrown into prison for the slightest expression of sympathy for the South (remember Lincoln REVOKED the right of habeas corpus), they are the unsung heroes of the Civil War!
