togor do you look at any other sites other then those liberal sites or postings you always seem to refer us to? Nothing wrong with that, but just curious. I always check out both the Lib sites as well as the conservative ones, to get a better more balanced view/opinion. Ray

politico is pretty mainstream. It's called liberal by some folks I guess because it can be critical of people on the right in a way that Breitbart or Fox or Drudge won't. It can be critical of the left too. But in any case, a quote is a quote, whether politico reports it or not. It's on Fox, if you prefer.

Where I get stuck with Trump is the size of his illusions of grandeur. I know they all have pretty big egos, to know they can run the country and expect the rest of us to believe them. But when they start butting up against Matthew 23:12 as much as Trump does, it's huge red flag for me, and I don't think that is wrong.

right or wrong, (varies by person I guess) it is your opinion, and you are just as right to have that as everyone else,

I will say tho, when you use Vox or Slate, or a few other known leftist sites as an example, I don't bother to click,

Vox is known to go (using a movie reference,, tropic Thunder) to go full retard on every shooting there is,,

and as quoted in the movie, you should never go full retard,

I'm surprised anyone would cite Mencken today. I read his diaries a few years ago, he was very ornery, cranky, misanthropic and self centered. His wartime entries have almost no reference to current events, instead he mostly complained about the shortages and the inconveniences he had to put up with.

Vox sent a reporter to talk to the Charlottesville Nazis, let them tell their side of the story. Was that a liberal thing to do? Have you watched the video? As a native son of the Old Dominion, maybe you should?

video shows Vice,, not Vox, are they the same company?

also, sadly, that helicopter shown in the beginning crashed, mechanical failure iirc, killing the folks onboard that day

I know a rather Conservative history professor that was there near the statue that day,

he was against the statue(and history) being altered\removed, and told me both sides were acting stupidly,

the city really brought this on themselves (permits etc given and lack of planning on their part)

a lot of the locals (I belong to a rifle club maybe 15 miles south of that area) were non to happy to have that happen in their town,,,

but then again, a lot of the folks outside of town are not UVA students, who tend to be very very liberal,

that professor, btw, is African American

Just went through the film quickly. Most of the participants appear to be collage age and/or younger people, typical for most protests. Not many appear to be older or working "tax" payers. Same for most other protests like black lives matter, the black hooded group Antifa etc. The Nazi party in the US has very few members and probably no more then a few thousand overall but makes for good news for a liberal site. The thing about it, it is the liberals themselves who are the Nazis. After all, the Nazis were socialists, not capitalists. And Antifa is merely the modern version of Ernst Rohm's SA, the Brownshirts.

Yes, after the "Seizure of Power" Roehm expanded the SA rapidly by taking over the veterans groups, and he welcomed members of the Red Front Fighters League-"I like them radical." He christened them "beefsteaks-brown on the outside, red on the inside."

And let us remember, Rohm was so radical Hitler had to have him murdered.

                        if you can believe Wiki,,

                        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._L._Mencken
No I don't put much trust in what Wiki says. The two paragraphs you quote doesn't even begin to describe Mencken and they are just more radical left wing propaganda. Here is what Encyclopedia Britannca has to say.

H.L. Mencken was a controversial journalist and pungent critic of American life who powerfully influenced U.S. fiction through the 1920s. He jeered at American sham, pretension, provincialism, and prudery, and he ridiculed the nation’s organized religion, business, and middle class (or ‘booboisie’).

He was a controversial, satirist and, and author that influenced other writers including Theodore Dreiser, Sinclair Lewis, and Ayn Rand.

The idiots on the left hate Ayn Rand and they often denigrate and lie about her as well.

"In order to have wisdom we must have ignorance." T. Dreiser

And for Bruce: "By the time of his death, he was perhaps the leading authority on the language of his country."

Wait a minute. Have you zeroed out the Nazi count? Is it like a car with only 5 digit odometers, and we've rolled to zero once again?

What the fook does Rohm (?) have to do with Mencken’s quote?

Just more agitation from a low life lying, traitor, POS.
