Went to an auction in early '18, first item was a pickup truck load of assorted ammo. Bought two boxes of .38 Super. Mexican guy bought the other two dozen. Said his family needed it at home. I think the law on private firearms is enforced leniently.

A few years back at my club a Cop brought in a box of loose ammo.
As I and a range officer were the only ones in the shack, we got
to divvy it up. He took all the 40s, I took all the 223 and 357s.
Didn't know Cops still used 357s. Nice shiny stuff, About 50 rounds of each.
