When Obama was standing on the doorway to the White House it appears the old "servants" were greeting the new owners. Togey can't stand that the White House has new occupants and will for some time.

I can picture Sam sitting in the back of the classroom giving a bunch of lip to the teachers, making jokes, generally disrupting things for his own amusement. Later in life, after the smart ones have moved on to better things, he styles himself the big man around town, the guy who knows better than the rest. I could be wrong, but the way Boggs goes about his business, it suggests that the high school cafeteria was the mountaintop for him.
