[QUOTE=togor;563430]Did you read the link? Denmark changed their Constitution in 1953.

Big deal. Other countries change their constitution like we change our underwear.

Why don't we ask London if Scotland is for sale? Great Britain more likely to be one of those countries than Denmark. Johnson should sell Scotland now while he can still get something for it, right?

The Virgin Islanders didn't seem to mind.
You're talking about the territory FORMERLY known as the Virgin Islands? Because Bill Clinton was there, you know.

All of the UK then? We can parcel out the areas with bad food and ugly women.

It's that great NEA education that "they" get learning to protest in school. Remember their fearless fosdic leader "knows" the U.S. has 53 states...wonder where they are keeping them. The states of "confusion", "apathy" and "lies".

We should purchase the UK. It's a nice big place that we could use. Not use in the sense of "use". But a buffer from the rest of Europe. Mutually beneficial. Then we could get one of those Big house moving outfits to lever us up further north. But only if we slap the Canadians around some first and instill some good immigration rules. Time is fleeting.

Yeah, we could, but that's not who we are and we would no doubt go to Denmark's rescue if any one else tried.
We have had a military presence since 1941 on Greenland. Currently we operate Thule AB. It has runways long enough to operate BUFFS from there.

When I was in the navy I choice Reykjavik Iceland for a duty station. I wound up in south TX. Texas sucked as far as I was concerned. I wonder what Iceland would have been like.

if we buy the UK, will Scotch prices go lower?

That's to be seen. In addition to critical minerals needed for manufacturing(Greenland), three thousand year old glacier ice is the most pure water on the planet(depending where you dig). Rich folks pay $100 and up for a liter.

If we buy or take over the UK, we'll also buy or take over their problems. That would violate the First Law of the Knights of the Roundtable, "Never rescue a maiden who owns a dragon ranch."
