Euthanasia
There have been stories, some of them well-documented about patients being "talked into" choosing suicide, or incapacitated patients having someone else make the choice for them -- usually family members who sought to save the patient's inheritance rather than spend it on care for an elderly relative.Tags: None -
The Doctor my wife and I had in England was a Naturopath.
When I'd go to see him, I'd say nothing. I'd sit down and he'd
put a big lens thing over my eyes which he'd peer into for about
a minute. When he'd done he'd tell me exactly what was wrong
down to the last little ache. And I mean exactly. He even told
me I didn't like fried onions (true). He was up in his 80's at
that time. He said everything going on in the body was visible
at the back of the eyes- if you could read it. He could but
after he died his assistant couldn't and the practice closed.Comment

That's the kind of doctor that needs to be teaching the new doctors instead of them being taught the horses**t they are taught in college. I had some good doctors when I was young that would compare with your doctor but not be equal by any means. The Doctor my wife and I had in England was a Naturopath.

My wife has fainting spells. They come up completely unexpected and her vitals always check out normal. She's been in the ER 3 times now--the "doctors" don't have a clue nor do they persue it with specialist. They simply make themselves scarce and release her a couple of hours after she recoups. My fears are that she will get one of these spells while she is driving. I have many other doctor stories--none are good. I avoid them.
Glad you had the experience you did. You no doubt compare your current doctor to this "old school" doc. There wouldn't be any mistaken euthanasia with him if he would even perform such a procedure in the first place.Comment

This Doctor told me that the rash I picked up in Egypt during
my Army stint would be extremely hard to get rid of. What he
said I'd have to do was soak my feet in hot soda solution several
times a day for God only knows how long. There was no way I
was going to do that. I still have the rash of one foot. Almost
gone - after five decades. He was right.Comment
