Agree with that but not the rest. The key word here is "IF" which goes w/o saying for many of us. What about those of us who apply for a CCW? The feds can assume we plan on using that carried gun "IF" need be to defend ourselves so we can be considered a threat? There's obviously too many grey areas of the law which give the "authorities" the right to make it whatever they wish.

How many of us, if questioned, would say "yes, if someone tried to kill me first or my wife or other family member I would have to defend myself/theirs by killing them if need be? His mistake was it was addressed against the antifa.

My neighbor's kid stole my car for a drug run, his girlfriend was caught driving it. Both adults, long list of felonies. Been on the D.A.'s best dressed list for a while.
So when he gets out and starts playing games what is to stop the little PoS from saying I threatened him and Red Flagging me? I was all ready to get an injunction to stay off of my property when he saved me the trouble. RF law here is about as vague as the women's advocates desired.

If it can happen somewhere, then eventually it will happen: bogus red flag calls, like another form of swatting. Then we'll see how government responds. But with so many of these domestic incidents, and school shootings, there are, in hindsight, flags galore, and so why not at least try to see if a proactive response is possible. Because the alternative is to do nothing and risk that the problem grows until the point when stronger actions are required.

They're trying to do it slowly thinking no one will notice. Those that have larger gun collections may be targeted by flaggers and the feds will glad to oblige.

I wonder if some politician or judges son got red flagged it the feds would raid his house to confiscate his guns.

While the program might have seemingly good points to cover up the real intentions, often just a visit from the local police on someone who has been flagged is enough to stop their actions. What I'm reading it's like a one on one Waco or Ruby Ridge.

Like the olden days, family needs to be responsible for family. If your son is wacko lock up your guns. If your son, daughter, whoever talks of suicide or killing get them help.

Those that just want to kill, steal, loot, and inflict pain are going to do it regardless of how many law abiding citizens are punished.

A program this controversial needs to have cut and dry clear rules and procedures rather than just one persons opinion.
