A 15 year old citation? You're distorting the purpose of the red flag laws. Some would say you want every dirtbag and wife beater and gang banger to be armed, that it somehow furthers your vision of what the country can become.

There is more to this story then being reported. He is pulled over by 2 DPS Troopers for failure to use his directional. What's unclear to me is, was he pulled over by two patrol cars or were their two troopers in the car? My experience with DPS is they ride alone. Then why did he have a possible AR rifle in the drivers compartment of his vehicle? Its not against the law in Texas but I'd say highly unusual. Then why shoot at the troopers and then other people as you sped away. The police did a great job stopping this guy but clearly something was up with him.
