It was a good place to buy 6000 BB's and a nice Red Ryder BB gun. Not to mention their Crossman pellets. These things NLA. I have no reason to go to Walley World, not even to take pictures of their customers.

The murder of some of Walmart shoppers was an excuse to get out of a low profit high cost retail category. Walmart announced in 2015 that they were taking AR's out of the stores because of sluggish sales. They introduced the firearms when an AR was going for $1000 or better. I'm a professional retail manager and I bet the Walmart analysists who evaluate sales per sq feet of shelve space were pushing to put something more profitable in the space and the murders gave them the reason too. They are also banning open carry in their stores which while it makes news headlines it will not impact their normal shoppers. I live in an open carry state and I've only seen three people shopping while open carrying. I carry but prefer to carry concealed.

After Walmart's handling of the Obama .22 ammo shortage, I refuse to enter their stores. Maybe we will hear less of the "I can buy that gun cheaper at Walmart."

Alcohol impaired drivers account for over 10,000 traffic deaths a year, but Walmart still sells beer and wine. They are reacting to a tragic event that had nothing to do with the type of ammo or weapon used any more than the type of car used by the drunk to kill people. Mass shootings are a new phenomenon that won't be solved at the corporate level.

Walmart is a mercantile that sells stuff from their wagon to those who have money. More people buy alcohol then guns and ammo. Walmart goes as the wind blows, reverse the wind and see what happens. I work part time in a gunshop to avoid the honey dew list and to keep myself in shooting supplies. Walmart getting out of the gun business has been good for me and I am not going to squawk. Heard that Walmart's big seller is bananas.

You're right about the banana's. They sell more of them than anything else.

A typical banana does have about 100 calories though and can cause people to get fat. They can't be smoked or used as a very good weapon but are a known cause of slipping hazards so WM should stop selling them and make those liberals happy for being stupid.

I avoid them when I can, but for clays they are the only show in town. Shotgun shells are cheap, but I can get better quality at a local pawn shop that sells Kent by the case. I buy 9mm and 223 by the case off the inter web and get a better deal.
