I hope you are right, given that crew, but it has been observed by many (including supporters in the GOP) that Trump appears to lean towards the position of whomever spoke to him last. I think that's how we got "first take the guns" coming out of the wrong meeting.

Militarily, they have the resources to close the Suez canal and the Straits of Hormuz. A total closure would start a chain reaction that will change the world economy in a bad way. You can't negotiate with Muslims. They want you dead and they are dying doing that every day because Allah wills it.

There is no negotiation that will solve this... Trump will negotiate, Khamenei will not.

I think a combined SA and Israeli extended attack on Iran's oil production might get Khamenei gone.
