    I wore "Blackface" once ...

Long time ago before it was considered beyond the Pale.
It was in England and the Army was teaching me how to
creep up on an unsuspecting sentry and cut his throat.
It was dark so I had goop on my face so by buddy wouldn't
see me in the moonlight. A waste of time really as it's a skill
I've never had cause to put into practice - although I've been
    tempted a few times.
Should I self flagellate ? I will if Trudeau does.

One of our better national columnists pointed out that Trudeau has been without mercy or understanding for anybody who ever did anything that is now considered to be politically incorrect. He is now basically asking people to understand that he did not mean to be offensive to anyone and that he should be forgiven for a lapse of judgement. As she pointed out, he is just a self-serving hypocrite. Personally I think that since he was at a costume party, the makeup is understandable and no big deal but since he is a Liberal and I'm an active member of the Conservative Party and since there is an election in October, I hope that the issue haunts him from now to election day. There is no mercy during an election campaign

Yes, it's so amusing to see these Liberals/Leftists forced to perform a Maoist "self-criticism" , especially for something that happened years ago.
Yes. Uncle Sam's Army made me put on "blackface". In WWI the French found their colonial troops-the Senegalese, especially, to be more naturally suited for night operations.

Make it happen. Talk it up. Write letters to the editor.

It use to be done all the time decades ago. It was usually done in a comedy skit or for costume events. I don't recall blacks being offended. Hollywood did a lot of it. Sometimes blacks did the whiteface thing. What about Michael Jackson who tried to be white and make it permanent? While the blacks may not be offended a lot of whites certainly were.

What about something more recent like Tropic Thunder? Anyone offended by this?

one of the funniest movies out there, in the stupid yet hilarious way,

surely someone with out a sense of humor is offended, but they would be going full retard, and as Mr. Lincoln said in that movie, never go full retard
