Ha. If they'd asked me I'da told them New Coke was a bad idea. That should have been worth a few grand.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Everybody said that. Coke nearly went under for such a stupid, hardheaded screw up.

I still think that was planned to allow them to switch from sugar to cane syrup as the sweetner

The "New Coke" tasted like a Pepsi so Coke was stating that Pepsi was better than Coke. Coke said that was the way it was going to be like it or not. People didn't like it. Coke had to return to Coke (Coca-Cola Classic) and they claimed to have returned to the original recipe over and over because of the uproar that they did not taste like the old Coke. The difference was of course going from cane sugar to corn syrup.

After 35-40 years Coke is starting to make cane sugar Cokes again in limited supplies. They also make a Stevia/sugar mix Coke ("Life" green can) that is pretty good.

We all know how Coke got it's beginning and was sold as a "cure all tonic" containing cocaine hence the name and I heard it was originally green. I think it was around 1904 when the feds gave Coke a visit and busted up barrels of the syrup citing Coke had violated truth in advertising as to what their "tonic" would do and because Coke was advertising their cocaine product being consumed by young children.

From that time on Coke would not use young kids in their commercials nor use the drug substance of the coca leaves. Coke is now the only legal importer of coca leaves. They just don't use the portion of the leaves made to produce cocaine.

The History Channel had a special on this called the cola wars.

New Coke and Coke Classic is what our generation kids should have been protesting over.

wife and I went to England in 2008, at that time Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper etc were all corn syrup sweetened,

we tried a Dr Pepper , and Pepsi in the UK and were amazed at how much better it tasted,

all sugar, no syrup (mexican coke, the beverage,, was available in the states too, it is also made with sugar)

we brought back a handful of bottles with us,

            Chocolate is better as well,

English Cadbury was devine, US Cadbury is not that good,
Hersheys has the contract to make Cadbury in the US and uses a different formula,,

If she has this much attitude at 16, imagine what she'll be like at 32.

Whatever the sun god requires. Believe me, when it gets really hot there'll be a group that will actually do it(don't blame me, I was just making a joke). People are crazy.
There was a woman on the PBS show Amanpour a few months back. She was so anti-Trump she refused to say his name. When she finally did I thought she was going to spit on the floor. She was out of control. I doubt she got invited back. They're out there. No, actually they are here. The Aliens aren't out there, but they would probably be nicer.

We are not afraid of sixteen year old girls. We are not afraid of the messenger. That's not the point. The message has been around for twenty odd years(remember, I'm not denyer). Young Greta is not Paul Revere or Galileo. It's a new offensive of using kids to plead a case. It's creepy. It's Brown shirts on a new level. But it's not just the weather. It's mostly Trump. It's immigration. Lyman's post kind of nailed it.

Simply put you don't like calls for action on this subject. A disqualifying reason must always be found.

Hitler DID have his youth groups. He wanted their minds bent and trained for killing at the earliest possible age.
