nothing happened, he just got more rich
Clinton was impeached over a hummer (consensual but out of wedlock) in the Oval Office. Trump is looking at trying to extort an investigation of a political opponent from a foreign government.

There's a good line in the John Adam's HBO miniseries based on David McCullough's excellent book, "The British love an insult. It's their only test of a man's sincerity."

The Dims, in their red haze of Trump-hatred due to not being able to do anything except dance to his tunes, see this as a "get even because you (GOP) did this to us (Dem) so THERE! nyah nyah nyah!.." with thumbs in ears wagging fingers it appears to most of the world.

*If* they succeed in impeaching Trump, then the GOP can and will require all manner of incredibly embarrassing testimony from anyone they wish to call. The Dims know this and so really don't want impeachment to be carried out fully. They just wish to blather, on and on, as usual.

They fail to understand something I learned long ago -- when you hate, you turn your mind over to the person you hate. He controls your thoughts and actions as surely as if you were a puppet and he were pulling your strings.
