I have reached out with the notes below to a couple members via PM,
since I did not get a scathing reply, I'll just guess it made sense,
Please give the below a look over,
After a few PM’s and emails with sysad (Pat) I have been granted permission to be a Moderator for this forum.
Bugs are still being worked out, re what I can do , cannot do , access etc etc, but that will all be done in good time,
Meanwhile, I can give folks infractions for breaking the oft posted rules.
Having said that, let us all work toward improving this forum, and hopefully getting some of the folks that have left back.
How can we do that?
Simple answer is, behave.
The 2nd Amendment/Politic section is just that.
Note the wording under the title (that was recently changed?)
Time to put the gloves back on and keep it civil. Argue points, not personalities
That means exactly what it says, no more name calling, hissy fits etc
Keep it civil, and argue the points,
Personal attacks are not in the rules,,
Realize also that not everyone will be ‘on your side’ so don’t let it get personal,
Re the rest of the forum
When was the last time you posted there?
Not saying it is a requirement, however I am saying the 2nd Amendment and Gun Talk are not the only sections on this board, and honestly, not why people generally come here.
So if you have a section that you have some expertise in, please, by all means post, be polite, answer questions or have conversations and help restore this forum to its past glory.
Now, to address something else that has been mentioned,
As moderator I cannot see IP addresses, and will not likely be able to once Pat figures out what I need as far as access,
However, I have asked Pat (and Jeff L) if they can see IP’s
If they can, I will submit a few names to verify that a member is one member, not 3
(Hint, if you are a sub account or troll member,, may want to go ahead and bow out curtain left)
