DT, two things:

1. The grandsons of those Southern Civil War Democrats are Republicans now.

2. You're not a citizen, or at least have not said that you are and so it's questionable if you have a dog in this fight. Shall we go on about how the Tories bent over backwards to entice Hitler into being Europe's bulwark against Bolshevism? As someone here once posted (Dryheat maybe?) things go back and forth in politics.
