Bears here have been videoed going straight to a 'fridge or freezer when breaking into houses.

I had a bear raid my beehive -- I moved it to my neighbor's goat pen, where he has Great Pyrenees dogs on guard. The bear still occasionally visits my back yard to see if the hive is back.

When I had my new dog for a week he was beside me when I lifted the latch to open the gate. After I closed the gate he went right up to it and used his nose to lift the latch. My friends daughters cats left as they pleased by jumping up and pushing the door handles down. It didn't work so well to get in. That took meowing.

Remember the guy who used to take videos of grizz? And he and his girlfriend were camping in the middle of them, and the grizz ate both of them?

He had done a documentary earlier where he just gushed over grizz droppings. The bears figured if he liked their poop so much, they'd just turn him into poop.
