I expressed my doubts here some while ago about him
because I figured he was quite possibly part of the Swamp.
If he turns on them you can bet they will turn on him.
This is his baliwick so why would he wish to foul it.
I doubt he will recommend criminal procedure against any
of them borrowing from Comey's Hilary excuse "No Intent"
I hope I'm misjudging him but even if not we still have the
AG Barr who has made clear his dislike of the swamp denizens.

I'm not DT but most of the fired, pled guilty etc, etc ARE the swamp. Fired is fired. These people can find real jobs and quit sucking on the taxpayers tit.

Kushner and Ivanka (love them or hate them) are new. They are not part of the establishment swamp.

Ditto Manafort, Stone, Hunter, etc. Hunter famously complained of a "witch hunt" against him before finally admitting to what he was accused of doing. Memo to investigators: don't give up too easily.

Being a member of the Swamp has many rewards - all the money you
can extort from people, Unions, Businesses who want something only
a Swamp member can deliver. Quid-pro-quo anyone ?
Another plus is that being surrounded by fellow Swamp members, it's
highly unlikely that you will be questioned about anything you do.
Being as you're either in a job where being fired is extremely unlikely,
or you're representing a district so distinctly blue or gerymandered it's
a shoo in for you at each election. It's a job for life in other words.
That kind of guaranteed security and income would be hard to say no to.
It would take someone who already has a secure job and income to resist.
To say nothing of honesty. Someone like a Reagan or a Trump.
As mentioned above, draining the Swamp is one thing. Making sure it
doesn't refill with new Swampers is the problem.
