    Another Naval Shooting

This one on base in Florida, details still sketchy. Is one not safe anywhere?

I have said it before: If you don't have a Concealed Handgun License, GET one. If you have a CHL and don't carry all the time, START!

Saudi national shoots up Americans on a military base. Having given the Saudis a pass on Khashoggi, there's not a lot Trump can say.

IIRC CHLs are invalid on federal property, especially military bases.

Another Saudi with a mile long muslim name. He was in OUR Air Force attending flight school at Pensacola Navy Base when he decided to start shooting.

Just two days after the Pearl Harbor shooting.

Naval base, and he was Saudi Air Force, not US. His training was affiliated with Saudi Arabian arms purchases.

Trump said the king apologized, so don't expect another tear to be shed from the administration with respect to the incident.

My mistake. The article I read just said he was in THE Air Force and did not mention Saudi AF.

IIRC, nobody is allowed to have a firearm on a military base except MP's,

Clinton signed an EO IIRC that outlawed civilians on base as well as others,

I was just on a Marine installation for a rifle match, prior military, but certainly a civilian. All they needed was my background info, and my lower SN.

Wonder how this might affect highpower matches on military installations with a formal security perimeter?

Lyman the point is that this is how the Saudis solve their problems. The king, the prince, the trainee, different problem, different enemy, same approach. We shouldn't be playing footsie with the kingdom that supplied 15 of 19 of the 9/11 attackers.

The facts are the killer murdered people. To me it doesn't matter where he was from or what religion, a murder is a murder. Its possible this was a terror attack, or someone insulted his honor or possibly we was being sent home for failing the course and he did this to save face.

Yes, too much judgement/speculation before all the facts are out...

I think matches are exempt somehow,

the EO I was referring to affects employees and those on base working,(Ft Lee and Quantico have ranges that allow US citizens w/o prior military service to shoot, Damneck used to but stopped that after 9/11)

seems odd one group can, others cannot, right

however there was some talk on the news this morning that he had a social media post that pointed towards hatred for this country,

why would you film such an event and not try to stop it?

Other Saudis on the base are being questioned.
Six other Saudi nationals were detained for questioning near the scene of the shooting, including three who were seen filming the entire incident, according to a person briefed on the initial stages of the investigation.

It was not known whether the six Saudis detained were students in the classroom building, and there was no immediate indication that those filming the incident were connected to the gunman, the person said

and wonder if the vids made it online
