So what's new? Frankly, we need to de-fund the FBI and then create a new agency where all former FBI employees will be ineligible to apply.

Burn down the Reichstag and start fresh, eh?

The dictatorial tendencies echoed by a few here are worrisome.

          I must have missed it.

I believe it was David Frum who opined that the current generation of conservatives will abandon our nation's democratic principles before they abandon what they call conservatism. Judging from the tenor of this forum, and right wing media, he's 100% right.

I suspect you may be suffering from Dyslexia
              where one gets everything backwards.
At least, that would explain what you just posted

From the occasional quotes people post here, I gather he thinks we don't believe he has a rectum, so he keeps having to show it to us.

Do you know who the loudest critics of the FBI are?

                  Criminals.

No! The loudest critics of the FBI are the innocent people whose lives have been ruined by liars and bullies with badges that happen to be FBI agents. These guys are the same jackasses that was once called the German Geheime taatspolizel and in Russia, the Cheka, NKGB, NKVD, and MGB.

Totally corrupt agents of the Deep State... these traitors are idols and widely admired by the lefties in America... AKA stooges.

Deep state. What is that? Sounds like science fiction(no one says that anymore).
                      OK, here is the nonsense.

-If you don’t consider FBI lying, concealment of evidence, and manipulation of documents in order to spy on a U.S. citizen in the middle of a presidential campaign to be a major scandal, what is? But none of this is aberrational: the FBI still has its headquarters in a building named after J. Edgar Hoover – who constantly blackmailed elected officials with dossiers and tried to blackmail Martin Luther King into killing himself – because that’s what these security state agencies are. They are out-of-control, virtually unlimited police state factions that lie, abuse their spying and law enforcement powers, and subvert democracy and civic and political freedoms as a matter of course.
Well, yeah, they have a little clout. Who doesn't if your work for the gov. It's small time mostly. Ya, know, spying on the ex(at least the outfit I worked for in the hinterlands). Websites that spray a little spittle when speaking don't get my endorsement.

I'm so tired of being falsely accused and sent to prison for felonies I didn't commit. Every time I turn around I'm being arrested for murder or embezzlement or money laundering.

You really think for one second that if Trump got control over the FBI in the usual way of dictators, he could resist the temptation to turn it loose on his political opponents? The man lives for enemies, lives for conflict. He hates winning more than he does losing. Probably because winning reminds him that nothing so far in this world has filled that void. A FBI that Trump is pissed at is one that lets me sleep at night much moreso than one that is in the business to regularly bring him fresh scalps on order.

Trump or any other President should not have any sway over the FBI,,

however, when you have folks like Comey and his issues,

and a host of others, the FBI tends to be viewed as more political and not doing what they are supposed to do,
