    Duh. "Innocent until proven guilty"

Vern appears to have forgotten about this, but I haven't.
After being charged (Impeached) the case has to go to trial (Senate trial).
If the "Trial" never takes place, the one charged remains innocent.

I don't know what's so hard to understand about this.

On the other hand, when he's acquitted, he can never be found guilty. Let the trial begin today.

And yes, the Senate can do that -- who's going to stop them?

Exactly. Impeachment is a two part procedure.
Unless both parts are enacted and finalized then
there has been no impeachment, Half an impeachment doesn't count.
Of course the democrats will still shout from the rooftops
as to how they impeached Trump. Can't stop that.

Does double jeopardy apply to impeachment? If claim is "yes", really need to see a reference.

Impeachment is not a legal proceeding. Various 'Rats have already stated they will impeach him again, over and over. Unless We the People get it together and vote them out.

It would be double jeopardy if the same charges were leveled.
If different charges, assume he could be impeached again.

I've no proof of this, just common sense.

Which is what I strongly recommend they do.

The good news about this process as its unfolding is more Americans are seeing how it works and because of Al Gores invention of the internet many more Americans can gather information and decide on their own and form their own opinions. I didn't pay attention to the process for Clinton lying about a blow job but I certainly am on this one and I'm not impressed with the House.
