That superstructure reminds me of that beautiful ship,
well, until Rodney and KG5 blew it apart that is.

Bismarck was doomed with a little rudder. This is just more sub-par Russian military targets.

Article mentions ops in the Baltic and Black Seas. Both would be kill zones for capital ships.

I see Russia's only aircraft carrier caught fire in dry dock. At this rate Putin will take care of the problem for us.

The Bismark had a great weakness. The British got aboard and farted down the ventilators -- remember "Stink the Bismark?"

wasn't that the same one that broke down and had to be towed to port?

The Russians are fine, it's the damn Chinese that will be the problem.

                          Not exactly a 'stealth' configuration.

Russia's economy is miniscule compared to ours, with all that that implies.
China's is almost equal and growing, with all that that implies.
China's saber rattling seems to be offensive, Russia's defensive.
                            My take obviously.

Another point you might make is that Russia is strategically disadvantaged as a naval power -- almost all their ports freeze over. And their warm water ports are mostly in the Black Sea.
