    Assumed Trump Supporter Arrested

Lady jumps the curb in her car and runs down a high school kid as a probable Mexican.

I say "assumed" Trump Supporter because her actions are in line with the more heated rhetoric. People like this give Trump's movement a bad name and remind people-- minorities especially--of the capacity of whites to engage in racially-motivated violence. It's possible they'll find a Liz Warren sign in her yard, but unlikely.

Doesn't deserve a response apart from my saying it doesn't deserve a response.

It's important to see beyond the bubble every once in awhile to see as others see. Trumpism is its own worst enemy sometimes.

Another way it's put is that every victory contains within the seeds of a future defeat.

Iowa police on Friday announced the arrest of a woman they say admitted to running over a 14-year-old girl with her SUV because the victim was “a Mexican.”

Nicole Marie Poole Franklin, 42, of Des Moines, was charged with attempted murder after being accused of striking the girl on a sidewalk in Clive, Iowa, on Dec. 9 and fleeing the scene without rendering assistance, police said. The victim suffered numerous injuries.

Detectives charged Franklin after identifying her Thursday as the driver in the hit-and-run and then interviewing her at a local jail where she was being held for an unrelated case, Clive Police Chief Michael Venema said in a news release.

“During the interview, Franklin not only admitted to being the driver of the car that struck this girl but also that she had done so intentionally,” Venema said. “Franklin told investigators that she ran the girl over because she was, in her words, ‘a Mexican.’”

“She went on to make a number of derogatory statements about Latinos to the investigators,” he added.

Franklin was charged with attempted murder, Venema said.

“I want to say in the strongest terms possible that there is no place in our community or any other for this type of hatred or violence,” the chief said.

Franklin was accused of driving her SUV onto the girl on a sidewalk as the girl was walking to school to watch a basketball game.

"I don't remember the impact," the teenager told a Des Moines TV station days later. "I just remember the car coming at me."

The point is missed. Many many people out there will assume she's a Trump supporter because her actions match his rhetoric. It's not about facts, or proof. It's about perception and how it impacts the Trump political brand. Trump himself seems to understand this and it doesn't bother him.

And then there is this as yet unnamed teacher in California. Pretty much the same wavelength as Nicole Franklin in Iowa, yes?

A Palmdale middle school teacher is on leave for the second time in two months after making comments that students and the district called 'racial in nature.'

Both ladies seem disturbed. But that doesn't mean they can't be as enthusiastic about the movement as anyone else. You can't give them the boot, as much as you might like.

                  you apparently missed the point,

why post a thread assuming something you don't know, about a disturbed racist woman? who may or may not vote for anyone?

what is there to gain by that post?

you can IF AND and But all you want, but it just pollutes the board with needless references to a racist/disturbed person, and progresses your NeverTrumper attitude

imagine you are a first time lurker or member on this forum, and that is the first post you see,,,

what would your opinion be? not only of this board,, but of you?

may be in the best interest to delete?

I'm pretty close to a first timer in that I've been away from the Jouster site for many years and recently returned. I'm amazed at how little useful traffic is here these days. And with knuckleheads like this "Togor" guy and his obsession with denigrating the president, it's truly not surprising. You guys can have this fool and good luck. I'm gone, again.

I'm doing Trump supporters a favor whether they realize it or not. If you want to see the man re-elected, then part of that is putting out the message that for whatever rhetoric the Big Guy uses, his supporters don't stand for the practice of that kind of thing. MAGA hats occasionally get pummeled--itself a terrible development--because people want to fight back against some of the things they hear from the Big Guy and go for the nearest, safest target. And no they're not punching or spitting because they want higher taxes.

Wouldn't hurt to call out the Big Guy either when he oversteps, saying lovely things about Duerte for example. So how about less Duerte and more Galatians 6:1-10. Then you will get your landslide.

People opposed to Trump will be in agreement with Togor's remark. People who are not opposed to him will say 'prove it' or 'who knows?'. But my guess is if she is a registered Republican or donated $ the news slime would have brought it up.
