Who cares if you are judged by history. When you are dead it doesn't matter what people say about you.

Okay, judged by God then. Iranian mosques are not military targets no matter how much one wants to claim otherwise.

Let's say for arguments' sake that you understand the difference between deliberate targeting with precision guided munitions in 2020 and the accuracy limitations of area bombing (even by daytime) in WW2. Also, see post #14 for WW2 examples.

And the bombing of Cassino stirs controversy even decades later.

The world's most glorious monastery, at Monte Cassino in Italy, was destroyed during the second world war because of a mistake by a British junior officer, according to new evidence in a book due out this week.

As well as Churchill's comments on the firestorm that engulfed Dresden, Germany. "...military objectives must hence forward be more strictly studied in our own interests rather than that of the enemy."

"The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. Ullman

They are if they are being used to hide or store munitions or troops. So welcome to my world of military reality.

Well I guess the Mullahs have answered the question. Missiles launched against Iraqi bases housing Iraqi and US troops.
