If we are ordered to leave Iraq ...

then everything we built there Iraq should be made
to pay for (cash on the barrelhead) or we'll blow it up
before we leave. And obviously, no more aid of any kind.
Fook 'em. It's time to stop playing patty cake with this lot.

      Do you mean the British.
There's England, Wales, Scotland and bits of Ireland = Britain.
It's good to ask the right question, if you want a sensible answer.
      And, left where ?

That is indeed a very interesting statement ... and one showing a very short memory.

In my memories I remember us invading Iraq as we were all led to believe they were an enemy nation that was helping the likes that perpetrated 9/11

.... very shortly we were some how convinced it was "Operation Iraqi Freedom ".....

not long after we were right here on this forum boasting about how quickly Haliburton , Brown and Root etc. got the infrastructure up and running in Baghdad....

....hell, they were rebuilding before we were even finished destroying..... and quicker than it took to get permits to rebuild hurricane damage right here in our own Florida .

We don't need to charge Iraq for that.... our Haliburton stock holders have allready become rich of of it .....

Bush's invasion of Iraq was a colossal mistake.
Hussein, tyrant he was, but he kept order in the Mideast.

Correct, in fact the Brits invented Iraq.
The British kept order throughout the Mideast (I was in Egypt)
            The SHTF when we left.

We should demand a military cemetery or at least a memorial.

Re: OP. If we are required to leave, big deal. Same policy as when we were required to leave Subic Bay. IIRC, there was little left behind except what was not worth moving. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

I saw the Great Ziggurat of Ur near Nasiriyah. Not the same size as Giza.

Let us all remember that one of the reasons we went back into Iraq was because their Army which we trained and spent billions on ran away from some guys in Toyota pick up trucks thus giving up a large part of the country. Lets us also remember that the Iraqi Shia militias are supported by Iran, the same guys who stormed the US Embassy were involved in defending Bagdad.

So if we pull out, which I think we should and stop funding the Iraqi military what's going to happen? I predict Ian will gain political control over Iraq by the vote and the Sunni's will fight the Shia militia, the Kurds will do what the Kurds do and everything will still be screwed up over there but no longer our problem. History should teach us to not get involved.
