Had the SC not called a halt to the proceeding in Fla., the democrats would have by hook or crook "discovered" enough votes to steal the election. As it was, Gore lost. Bush won. The nation was spared four years of Gore. Good. He got on with his life. The nation got on with its life. No problems. Sincerely. bruce.

                                                    (Even if someone wants to give Bush a pass on not breaking up the attack beforehand, there's no excuse for how they got us into Iraq.)

                                                    Added: the subprime housing bubble. Bush is how the country got Obama.
