So.... who's afraid of John Bolton ...?

So.... who's afraid of John Bolton ...?

.... and more importantly ....why ?

Well what would happen to us all if he didn't " DO AS HE'S TOLD " and honored a legal subpoena ? .... would we be destroyed by truth ?

Don't worry guys ... Bolton is far too party line to go too far with the truth

But what exactly is our fear of witnesses or evidence ?

If we voted for people afraid to have their heads on a pike for backing the truth.... then we voted for the wrong people

I'm not afraid of John Bolton or anyone else with an inside story to tell. I understand however why they don't want the story out there. In the next day or so Trump gets to answer the charges and evidence against him. The bet here is they will ignore the evidence altogether. We'll see.

I keep hearing that the impeachment is an attempt to invalidate an election, but that makes no sense to me. All Presidents are elected, and the Constitution allows for them to be impeached. It's not like there isn't a case against Trump or anything, which is what you'd expect if this was about 2016 (3+ years later no less). Nonetheless we all expect that a week from now this will all be over.

What evidence? I don't see a crime committed with what they have presented so far.

That's a summary statement which can be made without considering any of the information in any depth whatsoever. Now if you were to examine the core of the evidence presented against Trump, including the timelines established and testimonies given, and explain why that evidence does in fact not support the claims made, then that would be an interesting post to read.

That's a very logical statement and the democrats can not present anything of substance or proof. They've been caught in many lies just within the last 2 or 3 days. Everything is hearsay or made up.

Again specifics needed for the statement to have persuasive effect.

Give me your cell # and I'll read the articles of impeachment to you. Or, you can read them for yourself.

I'm sorry Sam .... but the whole point of my original post was .....

..... if there is enough fear to attempt to prevent people from meeting their obligations of a subpeona .... to actually place the fear of testimony on a witness

or enough fear that there would actually be a vote to prevent witnesses or testimony to be admitted to a trial .... thats the crime.... regardless of what brought this on....

to prevent witnesses or evidence is a crime perpetrated on all US citizens.... Dems or Republicans .... and shame on you if you think this is allright

                      Abuse of power.

It's not in the criminal codes, but who passes those laws? Congress. Consequently think of impeachment and the Senate trial as an extension of Congress's law-making authority to address individual misconduct by the executive and judicial branch individuals.

Obviously if it's the President himself getting impeached, requiring him to first sign a bill into law making his actions illegal is silly. The founders were smart guys and it's time to move past this notion that only matters of criminal code are impeachable. As I said before when the Constitution was written there were no Federal laws on the books.
