    Silly, huh?
I hate to do this but, the OP was about the Gettysburg reenactment being cancelled. The reason is that todays millennials don't even know there was ever a Civil War. I asked the 14 and 15 year old great grandkids of a good 73 year old lady friend... "Who was John F. Kennedy?" They didn't recognize the name. I said, "He was a President that was assassinated." The great granddaughter replied, "I think I might have heard something about that."

That's why the reenactment was cancelled.

How'd they get PT-109 up on Little Round Top?

In the spirit of "those who forget history are doomed to repeat it" we don't want to forget the civil war. But also in the sense that it amounted to a family quarrel, getting stuck in it may not be the best thing either. Probably there is a balance between commemoration and moving forward and hopefully each generation finds it.
