Could be -- although the US Army can put up a fairly sophisticated hospital in a day or so.

The thing to do is land them at some remote place -- like Nellis AFB and keep them in quarantine. The word "quarantine" comes from the word "quarenta" meaning "forty" -- in the old days people who might harbor disease were kept isolated for forty days.

When you don't have a union you can get things done but I told my wife after reading the article "no way". Cement would still be wet, structural steel components couldn't be built or built right, etc....

Since they obviously missed their deadlines they are saying "1000 bed hospital built in 10 days". 3 more planned as soon as this one is finished. With this sense of urgency it would seem that they are expecting annihilation. They should know if they lose a lot of people the U.S. and most other countries can send them Chinese replacements regardless of how many.

And if we run out of Chinese replacements, we can switch to Mexicans and Guatemalans.

The article says, "The design of the new hospital will be based on that of Xiaotangshan Hospital, which was erected within a week in Beijing during the SARS outbreak of 2003 " If they've done it before, they can certainly do it again.
