They would have loved to have drug this into November in hopes of defaming the president. After all, it's their only chance of getting back into power/corruption.

Drug is right, what were they smoking, snorting to "see" things that weren't there? Removal was never within their grasp, yet the managers kept on insisting it was. The "show" that the managers presented was a sham at best something Socialist Democrats are good at.

Since Trump got into office, the national debt has increased by a ballpark figure of $10K for every man, woman and child in America.

Many questions are possible, but I'll settle on two, and see if there are any fiscal conservatives willing to join in on this. Not explicitly a Trump bash!

1. What did people get for that $10K? Money was borrowed by the government, in their name, and spent. On what?

2. What about the loan itself? Someone loaned the government the money and presumably wants repayment. Who will end up covering that loan and the interest?

Question is compared to what? Compare the debt as opposed to what the United States economy has increased, what is the ratio of debt to profit? In the business world it is cost of doing business, P&l. Any body have accurate, recent data to post?

So the economy is humming, there is plenty of private sector activity to keep people occupied, and yet the deficit goes up like it's 2010. What happens when business tails off and tax collections drop?

These are hard questions, but so what? If a philosophy can't handle the tough ones, what good is it? If I'm not impressed with Trumpism, it's because it's blind to it's own inconsistencies. It claims to be conservative, but with the reckless fiscal policies, and the win-at-all-costs approach to governance, it's not conservative at all. Conservatism implies restraint. Something Trump will never have.
