Trump fires 70 more swamp dwellers ...

Should have cleaned house three years ago like the Clintons did.

I would say hundreds of thousands. He could fire a million bureaucrats and no one would miss them.

Sure...... we need to make room for more Michael Flynns and Son. Paul Manaforts and maybe a few more Roger Stones to help Paul Assange get into the fold.... just to name very few of the failures.

Oh ...and we need to make lots of room for family members like Ivanka and Kushner ... royal family is royal family after all.... now that we've accepted the fact we have a King .

Prince Barron will have a position soon I'm sure ....

"She" was the plug that held the swamp together, a slow trickle can turn into a quick stream and then a roaring river.

It is entirely understandable that individuals who do not have the confidence of the President will be exited from the administration. Regardless of if they are military officers, employees of a department, agency, etc., it doesn't matter. They are not indispensable. They are replaceable. In this case, those dismissed will be replaced with individuals who merit the confidence of the President. Sincerely. bruce.

you act like this would not, or has not , happened in the past, ,

admins routinely pushed aside, fired, replaced, reassigned appointees from the past admins,

that is until recently,, when they were all basically the same (between Bush, Clinton, and to an extent Obama)

That is correct. There are three branches of government, the Legislative (the Congress), the Executive (the President) and the Judiciary (the Courts.) The overwhelming majority of people in government work in the Executive Branch -- that is, they work for the President. They are there to help him carry out his duties. Any time he does not have confidence in any of these people, he has the right, power and duty to replace them.

Trump has been winnowing down the cadre of government scientists, because, well, science. Republicans used to like science, and left the wild eye fantasy stuff to the leftists.

Re: Winnowing. Agree. Very common among those who have and exercise power. Those who get in the way are pushed out of the way. All sorts of nice and not so nice things have been the result. With the present administration, a recentering of the federal judiciary and especially the SCOTUS away from a left-wing preference is one thing that has most certainly been a net nice thing for our nation. Looser regulation of environmental matters, etc. ... not so nice. Sincerely. bruce.

Good to close the loop once in awhile Bruce. In this case, that the judges going in will be predisposed to defend entrenched interests going forward, even as new discoveries in science threaten those interests. It's an odd question: "did you go into law to defend entrenched interests?" One would expect a unanimous "no", and yet, many people end up in that exact position. The US is already showing signs of falling behind other nations in important metrics of quality of life, even as (on average) we're quite wealthy. WW2 was won in many places, including the industrial heartland spanning the Great Lakes and the great river valley regions. 30 years, on, just one generation, people had taken to calling that great industrial region "the rust belt". The point is, things change, and a politics that rewards entrenchment only seems to make the pain worse in the long run.

You neglected to mention one of the real causes of our countries down turn which is the dumbing down of our education system and standards to satisfy the liberals requirement to treat all people the same reqardless of their brain quality. At least I now fit in better....as well as some others on this forum...LOL
