    Well I'm so glad you all are pointing out that the USAF is allowing this to occur. I was in the USAF and I don't really care what a person wears on their head. I spent most of my 13 year career with a parka hood covering my head. As you are all giving your opinions on this matter how come no one is discussing the fact the US Army allowed this before the USAF. Now the Navy will soon follow if and when they decide what they are going to wear for a uniform.

      If we assume some measure of adult behavior and professionalism in the services, then the uniform and equipment issues are manageable. I should have been more clear in my reply to Red, however. What I meant to say is that in comparison to the BIG First Amendment issue of letting Muslims serve, or not, the uniform and equipment issues are small. In comparison.
