    Peak Shale Oil?

    http://m.startribune.com/schafer-sha...ney/567884742/

Interesting article. I'm a believer in an ongoing push to improve efficiency in petroleum consumption, including the transportation sector. Just because we had a few years where the supply/demand balance got better doesn't mean those kinds of problems are now a thing of the past. Reducing petroleum consumption has many benefits.

Poor paranoid Togey, one wonders if Togey looks up into the sky "worrying" that something will fall and eliminate all life forms. How often does Togey go back to make sure that he turned the water off, closed the fridge door, turned off the light, checked the stove. His list of worrying gives Togey something to do. Togey sits by his computer with gloves on, M17 mask in place worrying that his virus program will fail and transmit a virus to him. After all his electronic equipment comes from "China", you know that "virus" thing. Togey is sure that a virus is just about as he is a "trained" engineer after all.

He's looking for a participation award. I hate those things.

I get dinged for holding views contrary to the Trump Administration. But when it comes to things like fuel efficiency fight, we should all be on California's side, not the administration's. Once we pump our way through the current boom, we're back to needing Iranian or Venezuelan oil. We bought ourselves some time. Let's use it wisely.

So you think San Francisco and other cities there that are piled high with feces, dead and homeless dope heads, a haven for MS13 murderers, and sanctuary for all law breakers is a model for the rest of the world. What a wonderful pkace that would be!

Oil is fungible. We do get crude from Venezuela, mostly because our refineries are set up to handle their crude. But their production is down, obviously.

Iran won't be kept off the world market indefinitely.

The point is, the less we use of our own, the longer it lasts. Lower demand worldwide also means less money to fund terrorism.

                    .
I'm always amazed at how much oil we have pumped and removed from out of the earth over the years ....Think millions of cars alone for many, many years....Question is there an endless supply? I always wonder, and not being very smart, but I would assume the oil removed from the earth would leave empty cavities in the earth? Do they then fill up with water to replace the oil? or remain empty......

Do they then fill up with water to replace the oil? or remain empty...... Maybe not everywhere, but loss of land in Louisiana due to heavy sustained pumping of oil is a real problem folks down there are having to deal with. Sincerely. bruce.
