Think about how he uses "many people". He could also just have said "I think..." a simple declarative statement, but instead he expands it to "many people", a device intended to suggest he's not just acting to satisfy his own desires.

For example:

"Vindman was the guy that, when we took him out of the building, the building applauded," Trump told "Geraldo in Cleveland" on Fox News Radio affiliate WTAM. "I don't know if you heard that. The whole building, many people in the building started applauding."

Unprofessional, if true. More likely Vindman quietly just didn't come in one day. Trump however probably likes the movie script image of Vindman walking out as the disgraced villain while the extras applaud.

As for a Free Blago campaign, you'll have to research that one yourself. But if you find something, please let me know.

Trump speaks in marketing terms. Commercials, including his, are the way to understand him. If your reply to this is "no commercials" then it's like expecting your French teacher to teach you only in English! (And I bet somewhere this has happened.)
