Harvey Weinstein just got convicted

He is facing up to 25 years in jail. Of the 2 girls he allegedly raped, one continued living with him for some time afterward and the other one wrote him love letters afterward. Also, none of these so-called rapes were ever reported to the police. Something about this really stinks.

I will never say that women don't lie sometimes about being sexually assaulted and lie about it for all the usual reasons. Women will also sometimes barter sex. I didn't listen to the trial but the jurors convicted him on 2 charges pretty quickly and acquitted him of three more.

I know several rape victims (outside of my LEO work) including a close relative who were raped and never reported it to the police. That is very, very common. It is telling that at an Academy Award Ceremony a woman won an Oscar and the M.C. said on her way to the stage "you don't have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein anymore." Weinstein is facing more charges in California as well.

Mira Sorvino said that when summoned to see Weinstein, while she was still fairly new at the acting game, her father, veteran character actor Paul Sorvino insisted on going with her. She said Weinstein was not happy with that situation and her career later suffered as a result.

Apparently Weinstein also made statements that amounted to convicting himself out of his own mouth.

My wife knows a woman who worked for Playboy in the 1980s. She asked if what they said about Bill Cosby was true she replied unhesitatingly in the affirmative.

With things like this the number of people who come forward matters, and a heck of a lot of women have accused Weinstein of various forms of abuse.

Yeah, and the left says he should have been sentenced to life in prison. The stupids on the left can't understand that a 25 year sentence is the same as a life sentence. He is 67 and even a 13 year sentence is more than he will survive in prison.

Weinstein has also been transferred to Rikers Island. How long will he stay alive there? Why was he placed there? He is not physically violent.
