    Sure.

    However,

Sometimes the base doesn't want their guys to play nice with the other side's guys, and then politicians are in a bit of a jam because following is safer than leading.

Ray if you can find me a Limbaugh quote extolling the merits of bipartisanship I'll appreciate it greatly. Carson doesn't really speak for anyone besides himself.

                Ray,

The legislation suggests pharma is cooperating out of a shared interest in maximizing their take from the taxpayers. Imagine the gun makers in WW2 deciding as an industry what prices the government must pay for Garands, Carbines, BARs, Thompsons, and having Congress agree!

We are a long way from home.

The Civil War was the worst.

In WW2, Congress was at least trying to get a dollar's value for a dollar spent.

                    Since then, less and less.

Take two aspirin, drink plenty of fluids and stay in bad. That will be 500 million please.

Everything is "shoot the messenger" with you Ray.

Here's one for you. No refs, you'll have to research this one on your own.

The government is trying to get N95 mask production cranked up, in the face of some pretty sizable projected shortages. Mask makers wanted indemnification in the recent Coronavirus legislation against product defects. Without it they say there will be hoarding. As of right now the liability language isn't there.

Can you decipher that argument? Does it make sense to you? Have an opinion one way or the other on it?

No opinion..as not up on the facts. I would only think in a national emergency the government would step up. In emergencies they can do lots of things that they normally can't and force things. Maybe they could just mfg the masks themselves . I'm just a tiny ant in the system with no say...Lol
