Biden acts like a man still in possession of his own soul,

while Bernie acts like he doesn't believe in the idea,

and Trump like someone who believes he hocked his years ago,

and is waiting for the bill to come due.

Trump and Bernie give similar speeches,

but Bernie blames corporations while Trump blames foreigners, minorities, women, and poor people.

He claimed to be a "trained" engineer, which I stated in college one was "learned" in their profession. My son is a "trained" engineer for one of the major RR, has been for ten years. He started as a Conductor after leaving the Rangers, stayed with the same RR since coming "on board" and likes the work. Perhaps one of the "trained" starts out training with a shovel and then working up the construction ladder to attain "trained" engineer.

I don't blame any of them.

We're all players in this,

And to some degree, all part of both the problem, and the solution,

even at the same time.

Looking for easy answers, easy targets for blame,

in a Trump or Bernie speech,

is a mistake IMO.

Even Trump, for as much as I criticize him,

if you take him out of the picture, a little bit of that is worthwhile will disappear with him,

and many of the problems with his regime will remain,

because he's had lots of help.

Take the swamp for example,

which was supposed to get drained.

You won't find anyone who really believes DC is less of an insider's town now,

just that the faces have changed.

In other words, the "swamp"

was just the other guy's insiders.

Added: Reagan kept his soul I would say, and by 1984 was showing some age, but got reelected in a landslide and got through 4 years in decent shape.

Biden's go-to move is one-on-one with people who have suffered a great personal loss.

People who've met with him under those circumstances say he's the real deal. Maybe just acting, but maybe his soul can make connections.

My level of educational attainment seems to be driving a General Studies and a History major nuts.
