    Kudos to Katie Porter

A brilliant piece of questioning. Give the woman real credit for doing some good.

I've been wondering what all this testing either free or you pay for it going to do other then say you have it? Say they test everyone in the Houston metro and its found 10% of the tests come back positive? Whats next for those 400,000 people.

There's a protocol for testing. First a phone screening. Then directions to a test site. Another form and then a test.

What the Congresswoman did was make it clear that the uninsured will get tested too and not stuck with the bill, on the reasoning that knowing who has it is of primary importance, and is in fact the key to getting things back towards normal ASAP.

The "uninsured" means welfare humonoids who already get everything free!

Big picture.....do you want the outbreak controlled or not? Yes, but only if people can afford it? Geeze.

You know, all this would be better if the Members of Congress would set the example. Let them take a 50% pay cut (which would still leave them about 150% above the median income) and put a 20% surtax on all their income. That way, they'd actually be contributing, and they'd know how the rest of us feel when they put their hands in our pockets.

Which is why this country has so many unsolvable problems -- our leaders are no sort of leaders at all. Our government is full of men who think they can lead a bayonet charge from behind.

Vernon's reading from the pre-outbreak playbook for comfort. The new playbook is,

                    Government matters.
