    Socialist America

The current situation in America should be a learning curve for the way the National Socialist Liberals want to take America to. Long lines, nothing on the shelves, shortages of everything, mandatory rationing. Unlimited "National Emergency" can be a prelude to martial law, lockdown curfews, limits on group meetings (to avoid plotting against govt) what ever the governing group decides.

Is it just me or does this sound like the socialist / communist countries? Ukrane, Russia, Venezuala, Cuba, Hungary, Poland, Albania....there is no "successful" socialist / communist country.

Now, I don't think the current situation will end that way. But, if Bernie and crew were on power, where could this go? I hope this is as close as America ever comes to socialism

It helps if people can keep in mind the reasons for the actions being taken. For example, in WW2 ours became a command economy and much of the country went along with it, even business (although with the expected amount of chafing). After all, there was a war on.

Had a co-worker who was a car thief before and after the war. He said the shortage of goods after the war was the result of the wartime economy not having an 'off' switch. No plan to transition back.

Well, that illustrates the problem. If you and I make our own decisions, and one of us makes a bad decision, that person is screwed. If government makes the decisions, and government makes a bad decision, we're ALL screwed.

The situation in 1945 arose from a full stop surrender by Japan, not as a result of invasion, but from the use of a new top secret super weapon that no one was sure would work. As it was, only a month passed between Trinity and VJ day. Does Humphrey really intend to fault government planners for the abrupt end of the the war, and cancellation of unnecessary contracts?

Speaking of the Trinity test, here's an interesting article about Kodak and the A-bomb test.

You bring this up over and over and over and over.

Many of the GOP politicians in the house and senate are swap RINO's. They are puppets for Soros and the DNC, nothing more.

                It's a relevant point.

And only in your mind are there Soros puppets in the GOP. That's just one of those weird rants that comes from too much AM radio.

and lots in both parties that should be retired out,, in it only for the Bennies,

                  Mittens would be one
