Nothing against prayer, especially if it helps individuals strengthen themselves for the challenges ahead. But Bishops and Clergymen are cancelling services even as scientists are redoubling efforts to find treatments to head off the worst of it.
As for Trump, I couldn't begin to imagine what his personal dialogues with the Almighty might reveal. -
Why would you or anyone personally care?Nothing against prayer, especially if it helps individuals strengthen themselves for the challenges ahead. But Bishops and Clergymen are cancelling services even as scientists are redoubling efforts to find treatments to head off the worst of it.
As for Trump, I couldn't begin to imagine what his personal dialogues with the Almighty might reveal.

You truly hate the guy don't you?Nothing against prayer, especially if it helps individuals strengthen themselves for the challenges ahead. But Bishops and Clergymen are cancelling services even as scientists are redoubling efforts to find treatments to head off the worst of it.

Donald Trump and Rashida Talib will both one day stand before a court that will be their ultimate judge.Comment

Just pray...why do you need a day or care about her opinion?"The first gun that was fired at Fort Sumter sounded the death-knell of slavery. They who fired it were the greatest practical abolitionists this nation has produced." ~BG D. UllmanComment

This is the guy who is now saying he saw the pandemic coming from the get-go, a public position wholly at odds with his prior public positions on the subject.
The subject is BS. The questions are:
Is he BSing us now?
Was he BSing us then?
Will God take a dim view of BSing or let it slide if there is last minute contrition?
Are some people incapable of knowing that Trump is a BSer?
He is the President we have. I truly hope he succeeds going forward, just as I hope that somehow the worst of this one passes us by. I'll gladly accept his chances of re-election going up if that is a by-product of the coming months.
But I know a little bit about management and his style doesn't fill me with confidence. I also think he is BSing the faithful when he claims he's one of us.

If you wrote the BS narrative it would be a different story. The statement about Donald Trump's prayer life was hateful. Sorry that's how I see it. Joe Biden is a BS-er who has fallen all over himself repudiating many of his significant previous positions to make himself acceptable to his base. He puts Trump to shame as a BS-er but I'd never say about him what you did about Trump, especially since he is a professing Christian.
Since we're on the subject of prayer, Trump is not a Christian. Anyone who says that he is not in need of salvation, which "The Donald" has many times and in many ways is not a follower of Jesus. If his suck up evangelical counselling club hasn't confronted him bluntly about that They are the ones in real trouble. They have the commission as the Watchmen of Ezekiel 3:17-22.Last edited by Art; 03-18-2020, 09:29.Comment

Art, Lyman,
Not against prayer.
As Trax pointed out, if someone needs a non believing hypocrite to give that call, then self-exam time.
Lyman: don't read more into my posts than what I say. We haven't had a beer yet even so you don't know me that well, nor I you.
Art: nothing hateful in pointing out that a Trump dialog with God might be hard to imagine. You more or less said the same thing yourself.Comment
