I'm a Believer .....and I offer a point to ponder

I offer a point to ponder

Why would you think someone might promote the possibility of chloro-quine being being an effective attack against covi 19 without the backing of our medical professionals ? or even discussing it with them ?

"Fear" is what jumps to my mind immediately ..... "that person is afraid".

Sorry, but I'm not particularly impressed with real estate magnates , online jewelry sales tycoons or inheritors of wealth just because they've been given opportunity to replace the "swamp"

But I am impressed by, and still believe in medical professionals... and scientists, as we do have some of the world's best. Even after three years I still believe in the FBI , the CIA, our Military Officers {apart from Flynn}. And I am still grateful to those who served us overseas in the Foreign Service . All who have been denigrated by our present leader .

I believe in the highly educated Dr. Fauci, who has worked for the betterment of this nation since the 1980s . And I think it a shame that he also will have his entire career... that benefited us all for decades... denigrated simply because he had the nads to speak out against a President who can't handle someone speaking out against him.

I believe in the truth... and not the "Family Trump"

fear that his presidency {for one thing} would would be hurt by the downfall of the stock market . That is... or was ...his big deal right ?

And might I add.... fear that his boast of being the greatest job promoter of all time would be destroyed... "so unfair, so unfair"

and the victims of corona... well, that might be unfair too... "but the attack on my Presidency...so unfair, so unfair"

And fear that some one might not praise him... in fact denigrate him for his faults.... causing the need of revenge even , if it is not for the benefit of the American People

So in general, a down side fear. I agree, but if I tried to put it in basic terms, I would say he has a fear of bad ratings in any form.

This period where the news is downhill is tough on him. His strategy is to try to get ahead of the narrative again by being first to good news. He expects, correctly, that eventually this will be behind us. The risk is that if the valley is deep enough then his repeated offerings of false (premature) hope will lead people to tune him out.

I would prefer someone with a concrete and realistic plan for how we deal with this but oh well, maybe for the next pandemic.

The Trump administration will need to roll out a plan at some point for how the country is to function going forward. Some plan that doesn't get ripped up after two weeks. Long stretches of determined effort not really Trump's jam. He likes splash and shiny things.
