Corona Virus Article of the Day

Since I don't have a lot to do right now except read stuff I thought I'd post an article each day that I like on the crisis.

    Here's #1

    replies are of course appreciated.

No matter the problem, there has to be a villain.
There are always villains to blame, warranted or not.

And the villain is always Trump.

Not the companies that benefit from cheap labor in China and India, Vern. That's so preposterous.

Let the record show, you brought up the T word first. He's not at all to blame. But he owns his words and actions during the response.

Stay on subject, and stop derailing it to your favorite topic please.

China is a great power, and hesitation to call it out for bad practices in the early stages of the outbreak can be motivated by a recognition of that power as opposed to just automatically being some wobbly-kneed liberal avoidance of straight talk. IMO we're better off fighting this one with Chinese help than picking a fight to cover missteps made in the west.

So a couple of take-aways from the article for going forward:

              1) if a one party state is part of the root of the problem, then people in the west should more energetically support multi-party systems in their own countries so that the parties can limit each other's overreach.

              2. Going forward, we have no excuse for not having a massively upgraded pandemic defense, if our standing assumption should be that the next virus will get a running start out of Asia like the last two.

Ok, you are a idiot. I just invented a object that will allow any gasoline powered vehicle to get 100 miles per liter of gas. The device can be built in America, but abiding by restrictions that are issued by rhe EPA and they would cost thousands of $$$$$ to produse.

China can produce the same product for $13.86....If you were the inventor, would you choose the Chinese producer, or choose to go broke?

Did I say anything with respect to where the products were made, bad or good? No...I did not.

Is your penis pump made in China because it's cheaper to produce, or is it because it has a smaller size to accommodate Red the buyer? Either way, we don't care.

Keep it up, and you'll get another infraction...FWIW

                              No, just repeating a generalization.
