Does Bill De Blasio's wife have to dress him each morning...

to prevent him putting his pants on backward or putting his shoes on the wrong feet ?
I suspect she does, and even tie a piece of string on his belt and the front door so
that he can find his way home ?
The Man is a blithering idiot so why New Yorkers voted for him is a puzzlement.

Wait! Wait! I know the answer to this one! Because New Yorkers are blithering idiots, right?

De Blasio is a narcissist -- he thinks if he imagines something is true, that makes it true. No need to check facts or get advice.

I didn't know you were from New York like him?

Don't be so quick to knock blue dots. You live on one, floating in space. And closer to home, if a Covid-19 vaccine is discovered in this country, it'll probably come from a blue dot, and the discoverer will have a PhD, and more likely than not a foreign-sounding name.

Then again, Fox News is based in Manhattan, so maybe you're into something?

Blue dots in a red sea -- an electoral depiction of the country.

A blue dot in space -- planet earth.

Egghead PhD liberal, possibly foreign born or first generation -- likely to be a blue dot city dweller and the sort of person working on the vaccine.

The depiction of city dwellers as not real Americans is very pre-9/11. But old habits die hard for some.

Did you read Vern's post. Have you read any of them? He oozes the rural urban divide. Cities as crime ridden pestholes is a trope here. Not from you so much, but I at least push back against it.

That is the essence of Socialism. People must be divided into classes, and one class set against the others.

That's a major reason for why racial prejudice was so virulent for so long -- Democrats used one class, Blacks, to scare the other class, Whites.

                    hmm,

you don't think there is a divide?
used to be a big one, now, both have some of the same issues,
                    so that gap is narrowing,

however, culturally, in some instances, the divide is as big as it ever has been,

Finding a way to live together and complement each other seems worthwhile to me, as good for the country.

                      That might bridge some divides.

Demonizing the other camp not my choice of place to start, since in many ways I have a foot in each camp.

                          Needlessly incendiary remark.

You know if you ask me to explain my position I will, at great length, LOL.

What I observe instead is a tendency to scan remarks for a trigger phrase and then go with it to fulfill some objective.

Since it was only a week ago, show me please my "demonization of gun owners".
