On your 3/28 post "I am a believer" maybe you and a few others here should read the recently released DOJ Inspector General's report that the FBI routinely violated surveillance rules in stark contrast to years of top Democrats and left wing media commentators to the contrary. The audit was a result of the deeply flawed investigation into Trump advisor Carter Page who was surveilled in part to a largely discredited dossier funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC. Read it. The IG concluded it "was legally improper" They looked at29 FISA applications over the last 5 years, EVERY one had unsupported assertions, one had 65 unsupported claims! The FBI violated the law in everyone of these cases. I'm guessing you haven't read the report .

For John Peef
John , had it been on the other hand a man you follow would have boldly proclaimed that report as Fake News and you would back him on that wouldn't you ?
I don't for a minute believe all this deep state crap . But I still believe in all the men and women who have served us all and if the FBI and CIA deemed Trump a risk well....
And you are free to continue blindly believing Donald Trump even though his cohorts all were linked to foreign governments and Wiki Leaks . -

The only ? mark was in Sandpebble's post.
This DOJ is pretty heavily politicized. They redacted the snot out of the Mueller report. Barr gave what is regarded to be a heavily cooked synopsis of it that exonerates his boss, and the DOJ is still fighting tooth and nail to keep people from seeing it.
In an irony that a Deep-State-Fixator may not fully appreciate, it is hard to trust any report that comes out of the Trump Administration, especially one that makes Trump look good.Last edited by togor; 04-01-2020, 04:25.Comment

The Founders' answer to Government Corruption was multi-pronged, including:
Separation of powers.
Free and adversarial press.
People who complain about the press these days and rail against judges/politicians who aren't "of the body" are supporting Government Corruption whether they consciously intend that or not.Comment

The point being, the FBI cannot be allowed to do this, no matter WHO they do it to. And the way to stop it is to prosecute the stem-winding piss our of the people who did it.still goes both ways,

Way back in the day, when the rubble was still piled high in lower Manhattan, the Senate passed the PATRIOT Act, 98-1. The 1? Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, who was viewed, along with Senator Paul Wellstone of MN, as one of the liberal pillars or the Senate. Feingold's reasoning was that the act would lead to exactly the sort of law enforcement overreach that has some knickers, including Vernon's, in such a twist. Of course back then he got dinged as a kook who couldn't see the light. Interestingly, Feingold was also generally good on 2A, and caught crap for it from other Democrats.Comment

if ya look hard John you'll find numerous refutes. But ya have to look past Breitbert and Fox.... difficult as that may seem .
along those lines..... Why hasn't any one in Trumps circle apologized for the amount of cohorts who've been found guilty... even plead guilty... or actually serving time ?
I'll understand if you hold back on the question until thier pardons come inComment
