Battle of the Bulge color pics ...

I like the pic of three guys guarding against a locked door
    while ignoring the open window.

    Picture #8 shows a GI w/ 30 cal. MG . . . .”looking down the scope” . . . .

I see NO scope on the MG!

"Colorized pictures" is a better term. I have seen the original b&w versions of many of these and I'm sure a bunch of others here have as well.

"Color Pics" is included in your "Colorized Pictures" It's called an 'abbreviation'

He'd be about 70 years ahead of his time.

No, its an enhancement. A color picture is a photograph produced by color film. A colorized picture is made by doctoring a black and white picture. Many photographers, and most cinematographers consider "colorizing" a corrupting process. Quite a few gun enthusiasts and collectors view "correcting" a firearm in the same light.

And what's he gonna do with that rifle grenade?

Some of those photos are from other battle fields.

the best one's I have seen done were done by Peter Jackson's crew for They Shall Not Grow Old,

they did a great job 'colorizing' the old film, partially by using uniforms from his collection,

Daily Mail is known to be 'off' in the descriptions and titles of the pics,

That was my question. Not what you want for close-in combat.

Notice they are both on M1 rifles, not on M1917s which had been the standard grenade-launching rifle earlier in the war.
