    If the virus doesn't kill you the bureaucrats will.
    It doesn't matter how important and desperate the situation is
    you'll still have to fill out numerous forms in triplicate.
    If you expire while filling out the forms your corpse be made to
    explain why you didn't file your application in a timely manner.

    Yes the USNS Comfort brought an ample supply of red tape with her to NYC.

    When times are good, a confused and inept Federal Government can seem desirable. Better to face off against a confused giant than a determined one, right?

      This crisis has really magnified at least for me, the empire that the lobbyists and special interest groups plus the bureaucrats have created in the Code of Federal Regulations all in the name of keeping people safe. Many rules are slowing things down.

        That is the purpose of bureaucracy -- to clog up the works. It allows them to claim they don't have the money to do their jobs.
