    Pollution

I know a guy with an old friend in India. The friend went outside recently and saw blue skies, he thought for the first time in ten years!

The bad air came gradually, I think, and people didn't realize how bad it had grown. If at some point the mills restart and the bad air returns suddenly, I could see there being a negative public reaction. Same for bad water in some places.

My cardiologist is a Chinese. He told me he seldom goes back because of the incredible pollution in the big cities (outside Hong Kong where it is somewhat better like all things in Hong Kong.) According to him halfway up some of the taller high rises you can't see the ground very well. Allowing for some hyperbole that is a telling statement.

It has been a cloudy spring but when there are blue skies they are noticably bluer for less cloud seeding by jet contrails.

The air is clearer here in Phx. There was a report that traffic accidents have fallen by 75%.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

It was like that when I was in Singapore -- our problem was slash-and-burn agriculture in Borneo and Sumatra.

Ya know, the air isn't all that much cleaner. Not in Phx. 4-23-20. But it's merky spring. I live when a serious storm rolls through. The next morning it's cool and crisp. The air is clear. One of God's gifts.

as do the wife and I ,

years ago in my youth I would chuckle when some older folks complained about hay fever,

well, Karma got me on that, and I feel a lot better after a good spring rain washes that damn pollen out of the air
